An Apple user for the last decade, I checked out Surface Pro at a store recently. To my surprise, it seemed an ok device.

Even type display looked oddly acceptable on a dense, Retina-like screen. Normally I can't stand the way Windows renders fonts.

My main gripe was the back part with the fold-out stand. So cheap-plasticky, like it was the back of a kitchen radio from the 90's and would easily break. It was hard to believe it was part of the device itself, not some add-on case.

    • what about the dial though? curious minds want to know :)lvl_13
    • It was the tablet Surface, not Studio, the swivel Cintiq/iMac thingy. No dial, unless someone nicked it from the store :)raf
    • It's solid, mine has shown no signs of wear in years now (SP 3). Mine also feels very, very solid and is great at every angle.formed
