    Just booked tickets for a trip out May 17-21. Not sure if I should ask for recommendations, or just get lost in the city. Only items on the list are Empire State Building, MOMA and visiting friends in Brooklyn. What do you NY peeps do for fun on the other coast?

    • May should be a good time to take in the Whitney Museum, then stroll along the high line. When you get hot there’s an outdoor cafe with a nice frozé to cool offbulletfactory
    • Vintage shopping for men & women: 28 Scott in Bushwick is a must when I'm in town. Very affordable and excellent curation.shellie
    • Dokebi in Brooklyn is one of the many places i like to eat. In west village, Saigon Shack it's right by the West 4 train stop a bunch of trains run through.shellie
    • Must see music: Friday nights @ Skinny Dennis for blues/country or Williamsburg Jazz Center open mic. Sunday evening killer jazz at Basik in Williamsburg!robotron3k
    • In Bushwick, great comedy/karaoke Friday nights at Cobra Club. $2 Lions head around the corner at The Johnsons. Gotta check out The Keep bar, very unique!robotron3k

    • I always drag out-of-towners to the Circle Line boat tour around Manhattan. It's an architectural and cultural history lesson; on the water; you can drink.MrAbominable
    • Roads can be nicer (assuming you're referring to riding). They get pretty shredded after all the plowing during the winters then repaved throughout the yearduckseason
