You sure the Chinese seller didn't first see the Crowdfunding campaign and pre-copy and sell it in advance? I know that's happened a few times in recent years (fidget cube being the most famous example).

I don't know how popular this sort of thing is in the UK outside of London, but I'm fully anticipating a change in the legislation covering their use in a short while... I see these fuckers flying past at very high speed at all hours, and think it's inevitable some daft fucker's going to push too fast, too quick. They're very imppressive, but when you've got some top heavy and unbalanced, food delivery guy bombing along at car speeds at night with no lights, no helmet and little to no regard for pedestrians, I only see trouble ahead.

    • There's a dude who's mangle-merged a petrol motor to his mountain bike and does food deliveries here - fucker's a buzzing stealth menace. Dead soon.detritus
    • that doesn't make sense. it's more likely the crowdfunder is trying to introduce an asian product to the gb market and making some profit with it.uan
    • Probably, yes - but why does it not 'make sense'? It's happened repeatedly...detritus

    • they offer it bundled with solar panels they probably also buy from alibaba.uan
    • Just who is ordering so much takeaway food!?! Seriously, does no one cook? does everyone have £20+ they can burn on takeaway each day?shapesalad
    • LDN's dense, but yeah - I was sat in a cafe a while back that did uber (etc) and watched as about 8 orders for breakfast in less than 40 minutesdetritus
    • Sure they take a hit on %, but the cafe only had 3 couples in it, including ourselves. Lots of money to be made from lazy cunts.detritus
    • The money I save on cooking economical meals each year, saved into index funds, with compound interest = retire a millionaire.shapesalad
    • Saddest thing I see regularly is the queue of moped uber drivers outside McD's. I mean ffs, McD's is ok when minute fresh - but after 15, delivered? Yech'tdetritus
    • mcd's is ok? ever? are you mad?hans_glib
    • Yeah, McD's, when fresh, is frankenscience, is cheap ass, is ok - not great, just ok. I quite enjoy the quarterpounder-esque thing from there.detritus
    • There's a point, literally about 3½ minutes after they're cooked, where they become god-awful though. Gotta be quick.detritus
