Another issue is people aren't completing their profiles right away. Even though on sign up it directs them to complete and gives a warning if they don't complete their profile will become expired. I feel some people might not trust the platform yet or are just trying it out. One woman said "why do i need to complete it" lol - If you don't complete it how will someone contact you! Or how do you attract another member!
This non-completion also make the site look dead or half-baked.We thought of doing a force complete before the profile is made, but that was only realized after it was live and we don't want to put any more cash into the idea unless it becomes something.
- Gamify the signup? e.g you have 80% of profile complete. Then give an incentive of why to get to 100%. Do you get a month trial? Maybe a higher ranking? etcmicrokorg
