It caused a cultural crises in Turkey. People think that the country's demographics is changing.
Turkish government gives them salary, housing, healthcare and tax free businesses while citizens are paying all the burden.
    I totally understand Europe's reaction.

People are talking about beating Syrians till the border here despite the government's efforts to use Islam as a unifying theme and promote charitable behaviour towards them.

    • how has the support for erdogan changed? does he have more support? less?uan
    • I feel sorry for those that are displaced by war - but a proper solution is needed. Frankly, drop a nuke on Assad.shapesalad
    • USA did it twice to Japan and they turned out to be a pretty decent, educated, cultured, civil society. Sure it was brutal, but can't deny it didn't work.shapesalad
    • Isn't the EU providing funding for Turkey to pass on to the Refugee's? In any case, giving them better benefits than the locals is bound to stoke anger.shapesalad
    • Problem is a lot of this is a result of our politics and war mongering. Its a horrendous vicious circle that needs to be brokenmugwart
