My family is local, friends mostly out of town. Though local community had a gathering. Brother, via text on Monday, invited me over for Thursday’s Turkey dinner.

I ended up spending Thursday solo. Took a stroll late afternoon. Rarely have I ever spent this holiday, in my adult life, like a “normal” American would.

Although I’ll go in on Monday and smile and say it was wonderful. As per usual. Win though, no hangover.

I do hope to, some day, spend this holiday like a normal American.
