All of this hate aside, I JUST got accepted into the Adobe Illustrator for iPad Beta!!!
Between the above and a stable font management solution, I am feeling positive about the validity of the "Post-PC era" dream of days past.
Lord, get me forever away from this desk.
Now, all we need is XCode / a valid code editor.

- Who else is beta?!
I'm anxiously awaiting the final step of receiving the "TestFlight" invite...
...Man, the $750-ish USD a year has finally paid off.
Lolz.ideaist - is that what they're referring to when they talk about someone being a "beta cuck"?
=DmonNom - If it's anything like Ps for the iPad then good luck. Almost a year later and it is still pure shite.face_melter
- Affinity apps on iPad are way ahead of anything Adobe can mockupgrafician
- Even with Affinity I felt the workflow just wasn't there, kind of frustrating. It should be possible to create real design apps for iPad but no one seems toyuekit
- be willing to put in the effort to do it.yuekit
- The main hassle is moving work between platforms, hell, even between different apps is a fucking ballache. iOS file sharing is pure fresh hell.face_melter
- ^ Yeah a lot of truth here; along with the font management "mess" it still feels like 1 foot in the future and 1 in the past.ideaist
- I'm in no rush to see tablets transplant computers in productivity, but I'd be curious to see a version of Illy that used gestures *and* voice commandsNairn
- Like, being able to describe a rectangle by hand but at the same time dictate "Adobe - Zoom" and "Adobe - Height: 20cm, Width: 25cm" or something.Nairn
- (spot who doesn't work with other people...)
The above would be hell in a large open plan office, I grant thee.Nairn
