I was taking a walk/ hike in the woods earlier today and some random guy crossed my path. He was looking at me, too. It was kinda creepy and I was alone in the woods so I said "hi" without really thinking about it. It was kind of a gut reaction, I guess a defense mechanism. I've heard that if you say hello to an attacker they are less likely to attack you. I mean this guy was probably just some normal dude but after years of dealing with men I know it's better to be safe than sorry. And I was alone. Anyway when i said hi I could see in his eyes light up like he wanted to ask me out. It was super creepy. I don't want to meet a fucking stranger in the woods. I continued walking and the longer I kept walking the more regret I had that I said 'hi' to him at all. Being a woman is terrifying.

    • If he looked like this... you’ll be fine

    • I can relate. Going out alone should be fun. Pre-covid, even making eye contact or being generally friendly is an invitation if the guy finds you attractive.shellie
