Heard back from an outfit I've been sporadically interviewing with since December (3 different interviews with three different people since Dec) today, and the hiring manager wants to have a 30-min call with me this week.

Because I've grown exceptionally bitter, pessimistic, and cynical in the last few years, I can't help but think the purpose of this call will be to tell me I didn't get the job. In which case, I kind of resent that; just tell me in an email and fuck off.

But, then, that wouldn't be typical, right? Scheduling a 30-min call just to fuck someone off.

    Meh.

    • How about be optimistic 'cuz 30 min call means you might got the job, not to let you go lol
they usually use email for that or straight ghost you

    • In my experience, a phone call is a good sign. If you didn't get the job, its easier for the employer to just send an email. Stay positive - you got this!desmo

    • I think its point blank rude to interview if you won't be filing the position for months. I just heard back from a company I interviewed with in October!!!shellie
    • the only good thing about a july start -- if you get the gig, obvs -- would be the stress-free time off until thenGnash
    • Lol did you tell them that’s a terrible way to secure good candidates. They’re ensuring they only hire people with no other options. Idiots.nb
    • @Continuity it's okay, we have 2 ppl in the pipeline with the 1st interview in January, when it wasn't even certain that we should arrange office space for themsted
    • We have to fill 6 places with those two so they have to be properly picked. They are on a different level, which appears on their salary as well.sted
