Had the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine on Saturday.
Immediately felt the side effects and this weekend was spent dealing with, what felt like, a very short and intense bout of flu: aches, fuzzy head, vomiting, sniffles, hot and cold shivers.
However, this has now all passed and i'm glad to say i'm back to normal. Having spoken to others that have had it, it seems like everyone has had flu like symptoms for a few days, some worse than others.
After loosing a relative to Covid almost a year ago today, i'm glad I've had the opportunity have it.
- Yeah my partner had it on Sat, was bad all day y'day but back to normal today.
Hearing a lot of similar reports from others as well. My 81 year old mother hadfadein11 - no side effects at all.fadein11

- @shape, indeed. But the symptoms after this one do seem to be stronger than say a flu jab. Not saying that's a reason not to have it though!fadein11
- @Fadein, Same with my parents. Both had no side effects at all. My wife was looking in to it and reckons that it effects younger folk more severely.Morning_star

- Had my first does of Pfizer on saturday as well. Also felt like shit. No vomiting though. Still trying to sort out my emotions on this one.bogue

- To be fair, i threw up once and it made me feel a whole lot better. We had a 'what to expect' info leaflet and one of the symptoms was vomiting. ...Morning_star
