VCV Rack 2 is out now and as a DAW Plugin (included in Pro version for $99)

Been looking forward to this as a way to expand the modular virtually, within Ableton, for functions that don't necessarily require physical knobs and controls to be useful.

    • I only demo'd it briefly a few years ago, but the price seems totally worth it. I have reaktor, but I like this form factor a lot more.section_014
    • It's fiddly as fuck with a mouse but I'm thinking for set and forget functions, it could help save money on physical modules. Some great brands in there too.mort_
    • One of the things I demo'd was the Mutable Inst. Elements. The sound was spot on. The one place this, and every other plugin still fails to match up is filters.section_014
    • That's interesting about filters, thx.mort_
    • Can make a little FX skiff in VCV then get some MIDILar modules to control it.

    • Or Faderfox EC4 that will display all the parameter names for each knob. which makes this controller stand out from all other knob controllers!microkorg

    • Ha - I came across those Midlar controllers recently. Cool idea!mort_
    • Yes I nearly bought a shitload of the knob ones to create a megaknob controller until I found out about the Faderfox EC4microkorg
