/World is fucked, etc. Just posting here as we've had the climate and XR protests recently:
I have a client, nice enough as she is, who gets VERY twitchy about wasting plastic, to the point where she criticized my use of plastic bags for small components and asked if I could start using paper bags (my response: "no", i tried that years ago, and paper bags don't store well in practical use and, more importantly, are shit for sharp and pointy components, and besides which, you can just return the bags for re-use as I already do with other clients), and another time had a go at me for repeat cutting a tinytiny component, using space on the material I'd saved by laying things out more efficiently than she had.
She's about to go on her third short haul flight across Europe this year. Not for work, or anthing, just because.
The fucking cognitive dissonance on these people.
We really are fucked.
