i'm curious as to how this study of penis sizes came to be done.

i mean, assuming you decide that this is a thing worth doing (really? i mean, really really?), then presumably you have to lay out some ground rules.

for instance how do you ensure the measurements are taken consistently? was it one person travelling the world with their tape measure, or did they recruit a whole team of measurers. and if so, how was that advert worded? "wanted: penile proportion professionals"? and what sort of person would take on such a job? how were they sure their subject was fully erect each time?

and once you have assemble your team, if your study is going to be meaningful, then the team all have to be consistent in their method of measuring. were they equipped with a special measuring device - and if so, what does this device look like? (how many were made?) or just given a ruler and a set of instructions as to where to measure from (side, bottom, top, etc etc)?

and how did this team go about recruiting people to be measured? facebook ads? were the samples large enough to be meaningful statistically?

    etc etc....

    • I imagine there's been workshops for medical staff on the subject. You know, extra training.
