Just got back from H&M to get some underwear, and — as I was unpacking them to get them into the wash — I happened to glance at one of the packages, where the features of said pants was laid out:

    • Durable fit (Okay, cool, I don't want them to lose their shape, I suppose)
    • Breathable (Excellent, though assumed. If you're selling pants made of non-breathable fabric, maybe you should get out of the underwear business, because you clearly don't know what you're doing)
    • Support (Err ... eh?)

Why lay this out? Support? Okay, some guys want their package held in place, but I wouldn't call that 'support', as such.

Testicles are not breasts. They're tiny wee things by comparison, and weigh nothing. They don't necessarily need 'support'.

I mean, come on. It's a slippery slope from 'support' to 'push-up', and then where will we be?

'PUSH-UP PANTS, FOR MAXIMUM BALL CLEAVAGE.'

    • On the other hand, since people are tanning their arseholes, I suppose all bets are off, at this point.Continuity
    • Maybe an underwire for the ballsack? Or maybe two little underwires, one for each of the boys?

This is how you Idle Thoughts, people.

    • And actually, if you're not buying boxer shorts, isn't 'support' assumed anyway? Like, that's the whole point of buying not-boxers, right? Why point it out?Continuity
    • Ha! Nairn and Continuity inventing a new 21st century literary movement in front of our eyes. Keep it coming, bravo sirs.fadein11
    • Bro have you even seen an old man’s ballsnb
    • I submit to you, sir, that that's irrelevant. Not-boxers would hold his geriatric scrot in place, as they would a young man's (like me).Continuity
    • We're not trying to lift our 'nads in a show-off position with our undies, you know.Continuity
    • That’s “support”nb
    • Eh. To me, 'suppose' means more 'lift' rather than 'hold in place'.Continuity

    • In the context of underpants, anyway.Continuity
