I had a play with the Arturia Pigments 4 demo for a couple of hours and ended up buying it (at the current sale price). I've mostly been using hardware synths for the past couple of years, both analog and digital, and haven't tried any of the previous versions of Pigments.

It completely blew me away. The sound quality is killer. Even the filters sound incredible. The effects too. And the unique multi engine setup means limitless options for sculpting unique sounds, not to mention the modulation options.

The interface is up there with Elektron Overbridge in how it shows you so much of what's going on in a few screens.

    Very cool.

    • LOL at me using unique twice in the same sentence.mort_
    • It is a beautiful thingcanoe
    • yep, just picked it up recently too. 49 bucks if you own v collectionkingsteven
    • hyped about the minifreak plugin too but imagine they'll keep it for v collection 10 to give it a proper releasekingsteven

    • is this the sort of thing someone with ZERO musical experience could use?hardhat
    • @hardhat It has a load of presets so you can just switch between those which would be very easy.mort_
    • Meanwhile, observing what's going on in the interface for each preset would be a good way of learning since everything is so visual.mort_
    • I bum the hell out of all the Arturia V collection stuff. Pigments 3 was fantastic, so i'll definitely check this version out.Ianbolton
