I'm watching the world cup for basically the first time. I'm a yank... I considered making a "Yank's first impression of football" thread but I don't feel like making that thread.
So reader beware, I've only ever watched American football. I always knew this was important but never understood or had interest until now... So, I sit down to watch Croatia vs Morocco.
Initial thoughts...
-Crotia cannot lose fast enough. I want them to lose so bad but Morocco manages to be worse somehow. They keep throwing the ball away everytime they get it or Crotia steals it.
-Why are players allowed to push the refs in this sport? What the hell??!
-There are zero hot girls in the Morocco crowd. Travesty!
-Why are the head coaches dressed like they are going to a dinner party? Lighten up, lol.
-Why is there a single croatia player wearing a bdsm mask? Wtf?
-I saw one play where the croatia player very blatantly pushed the moroccan player to the ground, full contact and the ref just pretended like nothing happened. Are the refs in love with Croatia? I thought a red card would be called for sure, and he did NOTHING. No shame. What the hell? What is this weird game?
Anyone else watching for the first time or just me?
