PSA to those of you who believe this stuff: anti-vaxx COVID influencers like John Campbell, Bret Weinstein, Robert Malone, Peter McCullough, the Peak Prosperity guy and others are lying to you.

At the very least these people are not who you should be turning to for medical advice. It would be like getting your news only from the tabloids at the supermarket, then wondering why it's not consistent with what you read in the New York Times. Or getting financial advice from the guy selling you gold in a late-night informercial.

Social media is filled with people trying to confuse and misdirect you for financial gain or political purposes, and those of you repeating this stuff are falling for it. Even if you don't trust the government, there's no reason to think the goofy fake doctor or self-described whistleblower on Facebook or Twitter is telling the truth.

    • BTW I'm not calling anyone stupid here. Millions of people have fallen for this nonsense. But generally speaking, real scientists and doctors don't pushyuekit
    • made up cures, they correct themselves when proven wrong, they don't go on a TV show produced by a religious cult. Some basic heuristics you can use to judge.yuekit
    • So the doctors that are voicing their concerns about the vaccine are antivaxxers?Chimp
    • as naive as it is to follow this lot, you have to be equally naive to think “good science and good intentions” is an accurate description of the medical ind.monNom
    • The status quo have proven themselves untrustworthy. Not merely incompetent, but vicious as well. You don’t have to be a PhD to spot corruption.monNom
    • Is it any wonder these celebrity ‘doctors’ are finding an audience?monNom
    • Chimp you really need to quantify how many doctors. If it's 12 doctors featured on a politically driven advocacy site, no that's not good evidence.yuekit
    • Doctors and scientists are human beings like the rest of us, some of them can easily be misled. The way you prove things in science is by publishing researchyuekit
    • and subjecting it to scrutiny, something that is notably lacking among this bunch of weirdos.yuekit
    • monNom you can't generalize like that. Of course there are SOME people in the medical industry who are dishonest, here are a few of them lol.yuekit
    • Instead of this vague sentiment that medical industry is corrupt, post some evidence for the specific thing you're claiming.yuekit
    • Also lol @ the mass downvoting campaign. All this post is saying is that these specific people are not trustworthy.yuekit
    • Brett is looking healty. Losing weight is the most effective vaccine.zardoz
    • LOL Epoch TV American thought leaders.
also a magic cult from china.

    • lol you really are in psychosis. I shouldn't lol but I can't help it.Rendle
    • Your source and your data for them being liars is 'trust me bro' ?Rendle
    • You think these people with nothing to gain are more likely lying than multi billion dollar big pharma corporations?Rendle
    • Pfizer holds the record for the criminal fine in history. For... wait for it... Illegal promoting toxic drugsRendle
    • Wake up my friend. Wake up. Snap out of it. You've been brainwashed. Genuinely.Rendle
    • Largest criminal fine in history***Rendle
    • Lol you think they have nothing to gain?pango
    • From going against the mainstream and potentially being ostracised and banned? Yes, I do think that. Explain yourself...Rendle
    • hey the niche pool is still a considerably big pool. alex jones was making $20 million in annual revenue in 2014. if you can tap into it.pango
