I've had the worst luck with developers. Is it just me?

I'll spare you the graveyard of details. But for sure I pay their rate and don't ask for ridiculous deadlines. "I set them up for success!"

I think the only solution is to work with a local dev house. For now though, l have a project that needs to start. Another crap shoot.

    • Devs from India? Did'nt worked with one from there in 15 years. Follow the locals route if you can. Good luck!!OBBTKN
    • Seems like locals are either, too agency or too 90scanoe
    • Current situation. 2 weeks late on a site an American ghosted on while he was 80% finished. Then hoodwinked by a stateside agency believing devs were local...canoe
    • Slacking with the project manager who never did a click through, so now I'm managing her, and the site is no where near being done.canoe
    • The icing on the cake. We were on a project budget, but got a call that my card was maxed out, overcharged (and refunded) 60% of the original budget.canoe
    • All of this was American made to answer your questions OBBTKN.canoe
    • That sounds like a lot of shit, I could already give you 1-2 coders who will help you finish it, well what the heck maybe even i could help you out.sted
    • but as I see it's too late.
refunded as the the project failed and you're fckd?

    • The only resource I use from India vectorizes logos and stuff like that.canoe
    • sted I'm totally looking for quality devs. Not sure how to contact you. I already got an anonymous email from I figured a QBNer. Creepy shit.canoe
    • Not about this. It was last year. "From a client I pissed off." Email had broken english. The fake was painfully obvious.canoe
    • haha I don't do things like that :D obviously I'm not going to jump on it without any details. but let's see what it is and how I can help.sted
    • put the name from the url on my profile page before the @. but if thats easier for you I can drop a line to the outside if that still works :)sted
    • I see you like to complain more than to act :)sted
    • Why did you say that I like to complain more than act? I have no idea how to contact you!canoe
    • lol, idk why is it complicated. there is an url on my profile page here: https://www.qbn.com/… put the david before the@ and you got my email address.sted
    • i also offered to send you an email to your "outside" address if that's still active. what i got from the qbn archives... :)sted
