I observe young people have a somewhat healthier relationship with their phones than a few years ago.
Having a conversation with a 19-year old in 2010 was a bit of a pain. Like, you felt you had 40% of their attention.
I've been pleasantly surprised lately, with people the same age being noticeably more focused and less phone obsessed. And a friend of mine's 15-year old son described looking at your phone all the time as being "so cringe" (yes, Danish teenagers say "cringe" now).
A good development, IMO
- sounds like your friends are good parentsinteliboy
- why is it cringe?sofas
- Cringe when you're with someone IRL, but on your phone (rude)jagara

- Would a better definition be that the phone user is doing their thing and the cringe feeler is embaressed to to talk to the phone user about their judgement?sofas
