    The X-Files: Seed of Change
    INT. FBI OFFICE – DAY

Mulder is sifting through a pile of letters, Scully is reviewing something on her laptop.

MULDER: "Scully, listen to this." (Reads out the woman's experience).

SCULLY: "Sounds like another one of those alien conspiracy theories."

MULDER: "There's something about this one. It’s specific. Let's pay her a visit."

INT. WOMAN’S LIVING ROOM – DAY

The lady, let's call her Emily, is offering tea to Mulder and Scully. They all sit.

EMILY: "I know it sounds bizarre. But I lived it."

SCULLY: "Could it have been a vivid dream?"

EMILY: "I thought so too. Until I went to the doctor."

INT. DOCTOR'S OFFICE – DAY (FLASHBACK)

Emily is talking to the doctor.

DOCTOR: "One of your ovaries is missing eggs entirely. It's possible it could be a sign of early menopause."

INT. WOMAN’S LIVING ROOM – DAY

EMILY: "But my menopause didn’t kick in until years later. And the other tests were all normal. It was just that one time."

MULDER: "Tell us about the telepathic communication."

EMILY: "They showed me their world. A bleak, barren land. No emotions. No love."

INT. ALIEN PLANET (VISION) – DAY

Aliens are seen moving about, emotionless, advanced technologies everywhere.

INT. WOMAN’S LIVING ROOM – DAY

SCULLY: "And you think they took your eggs to... hybridize?"

EMILY: "To feel again, Agent Scully. To experience love."

    INT. FBI OFFICE – DAY

Mulder and Scully research similar cases.

SCULLY: "There are instances of missing eggs, but they can be due to various reasons."

MULDER: "But how many report telepathic alien communication the night it happens?"

    INT. LIBRARY – DAY

Mulder and Scully meet a biologist.

BIOLOGIST: "Emotions are complex. Linked to many genes. Removing some can have unintended consequences."

SCULLY: "So, theoretically, if a species removed aggressive tendencies, they might lose emotions altogether?"

    BIOLOGIST: "It’s possible."

    INT. FBI OFFICE – NIGHT

Mulder looks at a map with pins, marking locations of similar incidents.

MULDER: "All these women, Scully. All missing eggs. All had vivid dreams or experiences."

SCULLY: "But no concrete evidence, Mulder."

    INT. UNDERGROUND LAB – NIGHT

Aliens are seen extracting eggs from another woman. They work meticulously, telepathically communicating.

    INT. FBI OFFICE – DAY

MULDER: "What if they're trying to save us, Scully? From our own destructive emotions?"

SCULLY: "Or they're saving themselves at our expense."

    INT. EMILY'S BEDROOM – NIGHT

Emily experiences another telepathic communication. She sees an alien, but this one is different, showing emotions.

    EMOTIONAL ALIEN: "Thank you."

    INT. FBI OFFICE – DAY

SCULLY: "Emily reported another communication last night. This time positive."

MULDER: "They've succeeded. They've brought back love."

INT. WOMAN’S LIVING ROOM – DAY

    Emily looks peaceful.

EMILY: "They're not coming back for me. They found what they were looking for."

MULDER: "And what about you, Emily?"

EMILY: "I've given life in more ways than one. I’m content."

    INT. FBI OFFICE – DAY

    SCULLY: "Do you believe her?"

MULDER: "Sometimes, Scully, belief is all we have."

The two share a knowing look as the screen fades to black.

    THE END.
