The more I think about it, the more I want a sorta AI-trained smart interface with Illustrator (etc) where I can do whatever shit I'm doing on screen with a mouse and as I do it, explain what complex interactions I want thereafter vocally.

Like, you alt-mouse copy an object and you say aloud "name this new object 'left flap' and set its width to 120mm" so whilst you're dragging away the object to be copied and modified, you're giving it a name which you can subsequently refer to for modification later.

I mean, I don't particularly go out of my way to name objects in illustrator, because I don't much need to as it's all visual and that would just represent additional physical cruft on each operation. But if I could add that detail in by voice, in parallel? That could be handy.

I'm rambling. But I'm sure I have a point here.

The more complex the software, the more useful this kind of additional layer of interaction could be. Looking at you, 3D modelling and CAD

    • Seeing how Adobe "finishes" off its applications lately, I wouldn't have much hope for it...OBBTKN
    • Would be amazing if Adobe actually did some stuff like that instead of charging for generative fill. I hope things like that happen, would be coolPhanLo
    • Haven't everyone wanted this though?canoe
    • Say aloud? Nah, do it with thoughts.stewart

    • Charging for Generative Fill? I'm not paying for that. It's in the regular version of Photoshop, not even the Beta as of this month.CyBrainX
    • Apparently this is what Misrocosft are moving towards.. https://jdmeier.com/…Nairn
