Speakeasy bars. Dumbest trend
- Real speakeasies in nyc are cool, but you can’t read about them on the internetnb
- Most of them are just a gimmicknb
- There are no real speakeasy bars in NYC. Just places that require a password. So stupid.monospaced
- Here in California it’s just password and 5x prices. And always the corny 20s vibe -_-HijoDMaite
- There are actual speaks here because of our restrictive sell times. They are all gang-related, fun and terrifying.garbage
- Wouldn't we give a speakeasy fisticuffs?stoplying
- There are illegal underground bars in nyc that you have to know someone to get in. They’re coolnb
- I’ve only been to two, so grain of salt, but they were both cool. One is now a legal bar and it’s not cool anymore lolznb
- it may makes me laugh that mono speaks as if he knows everything ever.ephix
- Real people like me spend their time at Speakhard attics.sted
- @nb This. I won't name names, but I got into an all-black MC speak, and it was fucking wild.garbage
- No photography banners everywhere, I smoked a skull bong in the garage, some young riders came in and actually said "who's this white bitch?"garbage
- Too bad I had already been chilling on the plywood with the bartender who didn't bother to tell me he was the boss. He told them to fuck off..garbage
- ..then I got free drinks for the night, traded stories and was invited to his birthday party. Honestly one of the best nights ever.garbage
- I went to one years back in Ottawa and though it was fun! Behind a hidden bookcase; a gal I went with forgot how to get back in after going to the restroom.
:)ideaist - Amazinggarbage
- geezas, what are these bars? weird BDSM clubs or drinking places where husbands hide from their wifes, i can't decide?%!%sted
- there's a stupid one here in an obviously fake barber shop with a code on the wall you get from their facebook pageephix
- There used to be a legendary speakeasy in NYC Greenwich Village called Chumleys. It was on 86 Bedford Street and the expression "86 it" is came from this place.CyBrainX
- It ran during Prohibition and they had an inside man at the Police Dept. who warned them of raids. There was a secret entrance through a courtyard for escapes.CyBrainX
- It was there until about 12 years ago or so. The building had structural damage and it came back but was never the same. The neighbors closed the courtyard too.CyBrainX
