So what do you do once you finish the WETA site? They want you for just one project then going to kick you on ya feet? ;)
They're very different jobs - it depends on what you want.
If you're after stability - go the govt. job - even though it's only 6 months... it will be more stable if you pass that 6 month point - but be prepared for politics, corporate life, govt. standard compliance for HTML, etc. and less creative freedom.
WETA - TV companies can be fickle - the TV industry moves and changes at the blink of an eye. However it will be fun, but very high pressure - short deadlines and people changing their minds every day. Don't expect that there are too many others that will understand what's involved in designing websites (unless you know there is a good web team).
Go for the WETA interview and you'll know.
