Hmmm...
Notice how on this sitethey define the bounds of the design by blocking it off with a subtle border color. I think that might help your design. At the very least, reposition the elements so that they form more of a defined shape. Also notice how they are displaying a number of splash elements at once, but one of them is emphasized over the others. On your site, all splash images are the same size and I think it makes for a less pleasing design. Not saying your site has anything to do with Agency.com, but you can always learn from people trying to achive something similar composition-wise.
