sorry but when I see sites with that 'aqua' button effect I just think that its some kinda software developers site, and the site itself looks like a template driven kinda thing, BIG type, everything cut off and requiring scrolling thanks to that big header. Doesn't make you look like a serious creative firm, rather a one stop shop kinko's type affair.
just my opinion though, maybe fine for your client base.
