  I choose a blog for the reasons you mention.
  I'm sick of trying to add work to a flash folio and I really wanted something easy to use, searchable and group-able.
  I'm not a technical person, so doing my own was not an option.
  Movable type seemed a good choice.

  Your second question:
  To be honest, I did not really think about the commenting much, but I think any comments are good for me, good or bad.

  I agree on your last point, I'm planning on making the images linkable.
