I gotta say, it's pretty boring.
I think Massive Attack fell out of the tree with Mezzanine. Mezzanine had a few good tracks and some amazing beats.. but it was too dark and slow.
They've totally lost the hip-hop/street vibe that they had in the early days.. now it's just boring electronica, if I want boring electronica I already got Royksopp.
I'll stick with Protection and Blue Lines, thanx.

i've been crazy for Massive since first hearing stuff from the then 'forthcoming Blue Lines' album, then more so while living in Bristol for four years in the mid-90s, but i have to say i can't get into the new album. i think 'what your soul sings' is absolutely amazing, but the rest is really poor. and you have to wonder how much of the quality of 'what your soul sings' is down to sinead and how much is down to massive.
i'm not going to give up, i'm gonna keep listening and pray that it'll grow on me, but i'm not confident.

I love the new CD.
but I think it is not as good as mezzanine, not as much melody .
Maybe it's the mood 3D is in this time. Too bad Daddy G or Tricky, or Sky (morcheeba) are not on it.

Hell no!
Nice textures, very simple and pure. Love the 8-bit beats and arrangements. 3D is a good sound architect. But I still think that Mezzanine is better.
