* Form follows function...
* Keep in mind the people you work with do not always smoke what you do, therefore, will not always love all the arrows...
* Study hard. Just because you have used a script font or 2 in the past doesn't make you a "typographist" (sp). It is a true art form.
* Complain less, work more. (mental note)
* Get rid of the "I hate" attitude.
* Freelance more often. It builds confidence and you receive more respect from those you work with.
* Flash doesn't suck. People just use it incorrectly at times.
* Just because something was fresh in the 80's doesn't mean it is now! (stop looking at your shoes and hair dues) =)
* Being skinny, with bad hair, funky shoes and tight jeans doesn't make you a good designer. Besides everyone knows that fat designers are better!!!!
* Neither do those lame ass glasses and ring collar shirts.
* be original
* Watch more Simpsons!!!!
I ROCK FRESHMODE!

2% does not dictate to the other 98%.
Meaning, what you see on 10 web portals doesn't amount to what users and clients want.
There is a whole world of function existing on the web that is never discussed on portals like NT because it doesn't fall within the biast, "tragically" trendy web idealism presented on design portals.
Don't rely on portals to dictate design standards.
