I'm creating some artwork in Front Page, and I really don't know FP. I set the backround and have 4 links that are individual JPEGS. Having said that... I need to send everything that I've created to my host, It dosn't seem to send the graphics, just the hyperlinks in the position I set them. Do I need to send them as differnet file ???
Please help ME if you can
Thanks in advance

Creating artwork in FrontPage, nice.
I say ditch FP and go get yourself a "teach yourself HTML in 24 hours" book. And get Dreamweaver too.

If you insist:
http://groups.google.com/groups?…
You'll fit right in there.

I don't have a genie nor a lot of time, and I won't get caught dead using Frontpage.
I doubt anyone viewing this site knows frontpage. And if they do, I don't think they'll admit it...

Yes. You need to FTP each individual file to your server. And, you need to make sure the paths are correct for use on the server (i.e. using relative paths).
If memory serves me correctly, FP likes to insert "c://bla bla bla.../" into any link or img src you use - since you are pulling off your harddrive.
The best solution is not to use FP to transfer the files...just use an FTP app and upload that way.

seriously.. front page puts in a ton of code that doesnt work on many browsers. nomatter what you do it'll always be broken for 50% of the people who look at whatever you've done. what you doing doesnt sound hard.. an html book would be much better, im telling you.
c'mon.. teach yourself a few basic tags. it wont kill ya.

Your company did the Barry manilow site, I'm impressed.

All i need to do is put a "coming soon" page up , with 4 links. I'm doing this to help out the group that is taking care of the server. My web developer can take care of it tonight but I would like to get it up b4 then so some important people can see it. Forget FP! I just downloaded it b/c i thought it would help me...
So is there anything that I can do, in the interest of time to remedy this situation???
- bent0
Shellie, Bary Manilow aside, impressive client list, and work. How'd you land all those celebrity accounts anyway?
- shellie0
hah, dont be impressed. i work for sony.
i do some work on the side... but everything i do goes into my portfolio site.
:( none of my sites are very good anyway. im so ammeter.

Did you not read what I said? Just FTP the files up to the server.
Connect, upload your html, upload your images, make sure your paths are right...done.
It will take like 10 minutes.

V,
get dreamweaver is your going to use an html editor. the built in ftp is pretty ok. just make sure you set up your site all in one folder.. with sub fodlers inside of it so you dont accidentally have a lunchof links and images refrencing local pathways.but its simple text for me. weeooooo.
