I once heard that to come up with a good fresh idea, you need to first give up a bad habit.
for example:coffee.
anyone else ever do this?
- neeko0
thats incorrect. every good idea spawns from the creation of a new bad habit.

true, neeko!
whenever I try to quit smoking I tend to become a really static boring non-creative entity_
sad but true_
i know

I'm no quitter.

not smoking just makes me hungry.
And admittedly when i smoked the greens more regularly (more than once a month or so) i was a quite a bit more creative.
I suppose that might have more to do with the resulting apathy towards everything else.
Keep your vices. you'll be a better person for it.

every good idea i've had has been while in the nude. so now i made it an office policy (in my own mind of course) to work naked.
it's going pretty well so far although they have me working in the utility closet in the basement. no problem though... i'm still naked.

my ex girl was a bad habit. but damn did we get creative.

word on that neeko/mal.
my bad habits help me to create things i normally wouldnt.
actually about 5 years ago, i took acid a lot and my drawing style changed completely. i saw things from a different perspective and it made me a better artist.
i dont think that substances are the only way to do this. it was just a by-product of my ... my ... misadventures.
i also became a better artist for having fallen in love with an unattainable woman... but that is another story.
what is my moral? i dont know... so disregard everything i just said. =)
