I liked that bit about humans respecting eachother. What's the point of calling somebody a damn tree-hugger just 'cause they care about animals? What did I miss?

whoa there. who said anything about being anti-meat? all i'm saying is that there are valid ethical questions to consider when examining the practice of slaughtering animals - specifically, the way animals are killed in factory farms. you're right, it's about methods and practices, not absolutes and antis

You must have missed the red-blooded tirade of someone's intolernace towards another's ethics and ideals of conservation.

I'm a full-blown omnivore. I just think making the time at the slaughterhouse less stressful would be a good thing... imho. Not trying to troll. ;)

I do as much as anyone for conservation. What I object to is people suggesting that by eating meat im destroying the planet.

Last note. http://www.grandin.com is a phd. chick who's setting up "humane" slaugherhouses and claims that knocking out an animal correctly will be humane and yield TASTIER MEAT! Hippies and carnivores unite!

I am a big fan of that..if it makes for a tastier side of flesh and puts more money into diversified agriculture

*one thing is a fact. eating less meat is healthier and helps to stop more animal-industries. i love meat as most of us do, but not every day. cant't be so hard, or?
