on a new version of my site. still lacking content in the fine art section and graphics are placeholder, but getting there. if you run into any bugs, let me know. it's relatively untested at this point.

uh... dude. . .
why do you have wolfenstein and quake in there?did you really work on those?
if so, then i am suitable... no... i am FUCKING impressed.i dig the site layout too. very nice!
- bhawk0
I don't know dude I kinda like the old site a bit better. It was actually in my favs for a time. I don't know about the super small text. I doesn't reflect the awsome work you have done.
- Bio0
my only commnet really is taht in the news / about sections, when you rollover the area, it becomes super hard to read.
the background becomes too light for that white text.
- mitsu0
i like it, but there's a weird clash between the anti-aliased text with the html links...
personally i'd make the links into images and not change anything else
- Duane0
thanks for the input. i'm still working on the text styles. you're right they are hard to read at times.
bio, yeah i did all that stuff for id. it was fun to work on.
mitsu, can you post or email a screenshot of what you are seeing?
- JMP0
kinda looks like you work for them.
- mitsu0
sorry, i don't think i explained it very well.
it's just that seeing nice anti-aliased text and coarse/larger html text below doesn't seem to work well together. just a tiny nitpick. keep it if you like it :)

sweet mr. testpilot.
i woulda killed to be able to work on an ID project.ive been a fan for years... as a matter of fact, they were one of the reasons i got into graphics.
i wanted to make video games. haha. i missed my mark, but i like what i do now too...anyway, great work in that portfolio man.
- Duane0
got it mitsu. thanks!
i do for work for them. who is them? jk! don't worry, hopefully the graphics i add will take it away from looking like anyone else's work. i am going for a more minimal approach in order to highlight my portfolio.
- mitsu0
bio, you should go for it. come join the darkside here in dallas. that's where id is.
- Bluejam0
The portfolio is outstanding but shown way to small and (IMO) lacks the attention that the rest of the site gets.
The ultra tiny text at the top of the site seems redundant and a useless stylistic element. Make it readbale or lose it.
Great work! Lets see it bigger?
- Duane0
no doubt bio. id is busier than ever these days with doom3. maybe there could be a new bot named bio in the new game?
- Bio0
mitsu, dont you DARE fucking tempt me!
i would sell my mother's mother to work with ID. haha.
bad thing is i know next to nothing about making games. so i would just have to be a regular design cat... but then again, i would sell my mother's father to be able to design for them. haha.
mmm... eye dee. . . those cats are TIeeeeeGHT!

I like the layout and colour of the site. Nice navigation and use of HTML. Very nice design work too. work well with safari.
One point i would like too make is that the images you have of your work are too small and I cannot see all the detail which is a bit of a shame. but apart from that GOOD.
- Bio0
haHAHAHhaha.
a Bio-bot would be the shit.he'd be a bald and beautiful bot with a BFG-4000 that shoots supercharged babies out of it.
- mitsu0
"bad thing is i know next to nothing about making games. so i would just have to be a regular design cat."
don't let that stop you. you may not get in on the id team, but there are a few game dev companies out here that are good friends with id. ritual is one of them. i've been to a few of their parties and met adrian carmack (of the id fame). not to mention, many of the artists that got in at ritual didn't all have a game dev background.
join us!
- Bio0
mitsu, is that what you do or have done?
worked for a gaming co.?
- mitsu0
no, but an opportunity for an interview was extended to me at the last party i went to, but like a dumbass, i never got back to them. all they cared about was the quality of my work and my love for games... previous experience was trivial to them.
right now i just do game dev in my spare time. working on my own game engine as well as doing graphics and sound. i've been tempted to go back and submit some of my work for consideration, but procrastination is king with me.

testpilot: There's some really really great stuff in your portfolio. Just wish they were bigger...
- Duane0
hmm, maybe i will make the images bigger. i have a hard time determining a balance between usability on a dialup, showing the work and keeping things manageable for someone who wants to browse through it all. i guess i've seen it all so i'm a little biased. you guys are right though, a lot of the work doesn't pay off at the size it is. maybe i can leave the images small but offer a larger view if people want it? i'm used to having people execute most of the html for me so this iframes, flash, xml hell i've created is all new for me. thanks for the input everyone.
