QT supports flash (ie it actually plays a flash movie in QT player) so if i make a vector animation in flash and export it as QT it won't play it as Video (meaning one raster/pixel frame after another) but will try to play that flash animation as vectors...(meaning it plays very slowly if lots of stuff is happening, plus i can't do stuff to it in AF).

export your movie either using quicktime, or avi. i am on a PC right now, and switch between both PC and MAC regularly. another uncompressed way is to export as AVI, (uncheck the compress video option) what were you planning to edit it on? a pc? also, what are the dimensions of the flash movie. regular NTSC is 720x486.
you also may need to take into account the fact that designing on a computer for VIDEO is designing with square pixels. a TV monitor uses rectangular pixels... you can google it to find out more.
this is a first hit when i typed "square vs rectangular pixels" into google: http://www.creativecow.net/artic…

the thing I do, is ...
I export my fla-file to a "tiff" or "png" -sequence and then I import it to After Effects.

as far as i know you can't convert actionscripted movements to a pixelmovie. everything has to be done in the timeline - isn't it?

yease, but what i have is main movie full of movie loops. Meaning that Export Movie is outputting only one frame...?
