I have been contacted for a job offer down in Houston TX. I from the philly area and have not ever been down to Houston.
Hows the scene? the city? Any designers from Houston?

The design scene is ok. The city is great. Lots of stuff to do. The only complaints I have is the weather and traffic. It is freakin' HOT right now!

May I ask who is offering the job?

the heat + humidity is awful down here now. but yes houston has its perks if you know where to go and who to have fun with.
the design scene is strange, with a few really great designers, who usually arent too social. but for such a huge city, you'd think there would be so much more talent. the events have been getting better... AIGA and Art Directors Club of Houston bring in great people every once in a while.. most recently clement mok and house industries. but thats just my take.. we've kept to ourselves for the most part (going on 10 years here) but we've been trying to get out more and meet people lately.
like anyplace it all depends on the friends you make and the good times you have.
hey... the fishing is great... and that's whats really important.

paul dont lie... you love the heat and humidity... you should see his
armpits... they are soooo green....Houston is a great town... I moved here two years ago from philly myself...
took a while to adjust but just the opportunity to explore texas, experience
the culture is definitely enough to convince you to come on down... i mean
you can always go back? right?
- travis0
who you gonna work for?
- sprdpnut0
travis, you dont have to tell everybody about my jalapeno fetish now do you. man, that's totally uncool.
oh! just thought of another great reason to live in texas.... its called... MEXICO!!!
- ronin0
ahhh...good point about Mexico.
It gets pretty humid around the philly area as well. I live way north of philly, but i ussually hang downtown, i am kindof attached to the town. Thinking about it...As far as the company, I'll post
if I'm sticking north.
