I found one for 120 at outpost.com
anybody has a better offer?
has to be portable and recorder..

i got one of the older silver ones. it records. i bought a newer usb one only to find out it's total bullshit.
want to buy my old one?
- Meeklo0
I dodnt know they have a usb one.
why is it bullshit?
and how much would you sell me yours?
- lvl_130
yeah, the new ones have usb and it can also record like 5hrs of music on one minidisk.
the usb is bullshit. because they made it so you can't transfer songs that you don't 'own' using it. you have to record it through your hard drive at real time.
for example, i bought it so I could plug it into my mixer through rca, then transfer it onto my hard drive with the usb connection (which is 32X faster) however, it doesn't recognize it in their really shitty made program. there has yet to be a hacker to get around this problem. it's just the media trying to bring a brother down...when all they are doing is sellingless equipment. jackasses.
offer me a price for mine. to give you an idea, i bought it off of ebay about 10 months ago for like $85.

Minidisc® is wack. Use SolidState or harddrives.
- lvl_130
he need it to be portable, and i'm pretty sure that a hard drive isn't going to have the correct output to plug into most things.
what's solid state?
- Meeklo0
Minidisk is great, this is for recording outdoor sounds, there is still nothing that compares to it in portability and quality, every major sound studio, or electronic musician needs one.
am I wrong?
- Meeklo0
about the usb thing, is probably the same thing that I pod does to your files, and that is bullsh*t!!!
I might get the old one then, for 120, new with guarantee, I think I go for that one, I dont really trust in buying used equipment, unless I dont have the money. But thanks for the offer and the explination.
peace

It has real XLR inputs, not the sony optical BS.
- Meeklo0
hahaha!!
look at the price..
- Mimio0
It's worth every penny.
Put the toys with their moving parts away. Minidisc is dead. Sony is planning to release high-end SS recorders with their new high-speed 512mb memory sticks.
- lvl_130
meeko- sure. no problem. i'm kind of in the same boat as you about buying used stuff. if i can buy it new for something that isn't outrageous it's way better way to go
- Meeklo0
exactly M13.
besides, the usb problem, did you find it usefull? are you in the music production area too?
