i just have email and url on the card -- simple -- no fuss -- i do webdesign, so you can email me. I hand out a lot of cards at conventions etc,.. so i don't want the phone ringing all the time with prank/"do you like my stuff" calls.
And I don't want to have to change the card every time i move/change phone number (not that its a monthly habit - but just a question of keeping it uniform).

currently I have my home phone number on my cards. Im the only one who lives there so it works out well.

Cells are fine. My previous cards just had my phone number on the card, email, and website. That's enough. People don't care, and I can't imagine it would influence any decisions. I currently use my cell for business now because I can take it on trips. No, including my clients, needs to know where I am. I have an LA and a CT number, and it's no problem. If it looks like it is, I explain where I am, but it hasn't so far and I intend on keeping it that way.
If you have a studio, or a 'real' permanent address, like a home, then you probably wouldn't be asking this question.
Cells are fine, if anything, better because a client will know that they can get in touch with you anytime, anywhere.
The PO Box is a good idea, although, if anything, I'd think that would look strange.

i designed mine without addresses, and i've never even considered it being a problem.
really, who the hell cares?

Another pet hate of mine... business cards that don't fit in business card holders

um... engage... you might want to read this...

I brought up the subject of business cards about two weeks ago just for some initial answers to my questions--ie, pricing, where to go, etc.
I put it off until now. I may put it off even further depending on whether or not I choose to wait until I have a more permanent place.

Guys. Engage is based in the UK. The cellphone #'s there use different areacodes for each carrier - so u know it's a cellphone number - not very pro.
In the US we use normal land line area codes - so you can't tell it's a cell just by looking at the number. Pro.

Thanks Toxic...
Plus the audio quality of my mobile is not as good as my land line... especially through a snazzy b&o phone.
I think in UK it's basically better to have a landline number... especially when you've a studio in london, it helps tell people if you're central or not too... i.e 0207 or 0208

ah that makes a much bigger difference.
