I couldn't believe it. I thought the logo was some kinda joke. It really is a poor showing for whoever created it (whether it was WWFT or not). I wouldn't claim it.

DAmn.. it doesn't look like the favourite web site awards logo anymore!
- pand40
yeh.. i always though it was funny that the FWA had the EXACT same logo.
in any case it doesnt matter how ugly and fuked up it looks.
if they client chose that good for them, if WWFT created it, it doesnt matter either, since "everything" they do is genious, if it was by them ITS GOTS TO BE GOOOOOOOD!!!!and when you try to argue it someone will be nice enough to say
yeah, http://www.weworkforthem.com/ well lets see your client list/work
but hey im sure it took along time, and lots of people with suits made many many retarded comments and suggestions, and now you have a logo that looks like a Girl's clothing company

I'm sorry but that logo is a total piece of shit. Talk about a logo that is designed to last 5 minutes... Reminds me of MTVs branding policy. Let's make everything look like all of the coolest designers were doing a few months ago and then 3 months later do what they were doing a few months after that....
I'm not all gung-ho about the old logo (although it was rather timeless) but this one SUCKS. When I first saw it I thought it was a ridiculous, sloppy piece of shit that was designer but not DESIGNED.
I'd love to hear the two cents of who ever created that crap.

Fucking horrible.

It seems I might be alone in this, but I love the new logo. I think it looks much better on-screen than online.
Personally, I think they should redesign the whole site to accommodate.

put my on the "New logo is Fucking Horrible" side!
I can't believe this topic took this long to come up on NT, I've been disliking this one for awhile now.

ldww posted a link earlier.
http://www.underconsideration.co…in the discussion there is evidence that the logo is actually a product of an in-house designer.

i was thrown off by the logo at first and wasnt sure what to make of it, but its actually growing on me. i like it more everyday. I applaude the balls it took to go so "out there", esspecially from a bohemith like VH1.
one thing is certian, it is unique. in the end that might be most important.

i'd love to see some leaked out internal memo's over this logo!
(like what happened with MTV..)

Vhr?

Yeah... read the whole long thread at http://www.underconsideration.co… and it was an in-house designer. She really didn't describe what the thinking of the logo was other than that she just wantd to do something really out-there and design-y. Not cool. Can't believe they went with it.
One other note: she mentioned that the logo is designed to be able to change according to the program. I'd bet this logo is gonna change a lot asnd ina year it'll be totally different. That "1" is gonna turn itself back around... hear me! :)

Maureen Morioka must be shaking her head by now. I'm curious to know what Adams/Morioka thinks of the new look.

Judging from the reaction it's getting here, it seems to be doing a pretty damned good job.
