I just went to see Kill Bill this weekend.
I was expecting a lot more, the movie is good, I liked all the 60-70's kung fu movies resources like the sound effects, and the character clothes. The classic chopped time line you are going to get on a tarantino movie. But the fighting scenes where a shame, I coulnt believe it.
For the same reason that shaquille o neil will never get nominated for an oscar, Uma thurmand will never convince anybody that she knows kung fu.
Leave the fighting scenes to the professionals next time. Or dont advertise it as a kung fu movie.
Same thing with all the recent movies. where you have drew barrimore doing backflips, and keanu reeves defending punches aikido style

hear hear
i'm sure they work hard tho but we all know it takes years of dedication to really master an art. any art.
besides, they are only going after "flashy" style martial arts. jump kicks, karate "chops" etc.
yeah whatever.
