I Bought my own place at the start of this year. it's great but I bought a property that needed a bit of work doing on it, and here I am still decorating, but well worth it, cos before I lived in a flat (rented) with shit fittings and magnolia(the helvetica of paint) painted walls so I couldn't really stamp my identity on it, the only shitter is I borrowed nintey grand to buy the f*cker. Oh and I have a bit of shithead for a neighbour, and no off street parking...
Oh my god what have I done!!

i used to live together with five flatmates in abig house.
all went well untill after a couple of months everybody got tired of eachother. started of with not washing the dishes, nightly parties out of the blue, not paying the rent, not cleaning their part, things that got stolen by visitors who didnt seem to be so decent and ended with up with a girl breaking a bottle on someones head and a brother/sister fistfight, jeezesthe five were all friends, ppl i knew and respected cause they proved to be decent folks in the past.
after that i swore never to live together with flatmates.
its great, you have ppl over when you want. keep your door shut if you dont feel like it. stuff gets paid, it is more expensive.sometimes its a bit quiet though

if you can afford it, do it.
I did it once for a year and found myself talking to myself and dancing to music and singing a lot..... I hope that's normal. Also you can bring home all kinds of Ladies of the Night without feeling embarassed because they're skanks.Overshare? haha.
Yeah do it if you can afford too. It's great.

i have liven in quite different places:
1st. parents (as usual)
2d. with my girlfriend and her parents.
3d. alone
4th. in a community. (from 2persons til5 depending)
actual. with a friend of mine and my girlfriend.the best? all of them an none. always depends on your needs. the good points and the bad points are already mentioned.
living alone was the best i could do, but it was fucking fucking expensive man.you cannot believe how fast money is going away!!!!!
and i have to say, unless you need desesperately social live and boring chats, living in a community is sometimes too annoying......
and of, course i didnt say anything special! ;)

Living alone is great, but sometimes, its too great. Do it before you get bound to a wife n kids scenario. Its like having all the control of however man sq. ft. you have :) Its nice to come home from work to silence and whatever you want too.

I have lived alone for about 4 years, the bills are alot more, but thats all a part of growing up. could never have roommates ever again.

I love living alone. Like you said, I can do what the fuck I want, whenever I want. I need to be anti-social sometimes and I don't want to wake up to find a person in my house just as grumpy in the morning as me. We would eventually kill eachother.
No, actually.. it's even worse to live with a person who is happy all the time. Yeah - regardless of the personality, I would kill my roomie.

I had roomamtes that were raging alcoholics, the entire apartment smelled like vodka constantly and someone was always passed out on the couch. Another roomate I had ended up spending our rent money on cocaine for three straight months and almost got us thrown out. He did three years for selling ecstacy after I moved out. I have made bad decisions with roommates, thats why I never will have another one.
