Got another 10 pounds of tuna yesterday from another friend. This time it was all Ahi (Yellowfin). Man I wish I had a smoker to smoke some of it, it's so much and I don't want to freeze it but I'm going to have to.
El Niño is going off right now for fishing, I feel kinda bad getting hooked up constantly. I should be going on a fishing trip but my friends are usually doing 3 to 8 day trips all the way down to Mex and paying 300 to 600 dollars! I don't have the time or $ to do that. Also, last time I went out on a day trip I got super seasick and had a miserable time. Of course I didn't bring any Dremamine with me. So now I'm scared to go and get stuck out there feeling sick even though everyone says I'll be ok if I take it.
Last night I made a bunch of Sushi and even some rolls. They tasted great but I'm still working on my rolling technique. It's not easy to make em look perfect and I realize now my sharpest knife is not getting the job done either.
Here is some fresh Poke I made which was a huge hit. I could eat this stuff everyday for the rest of my life.

My wife and I are flipping through apartment reviews on google... found one place we both really like that gets 5-star reviews w/the exception of one 1-star review... must suck to be 'young and pretty':
"This place has been a nightmare. If you are a woman who is young and pretty don't move here. You will be hated for it. I have had nothing but problems the woman who lives below me is the real life version of gladis cravits. The management here also is a bitter old woman who seems to have it out for young beautiful women since she is no longer one. I have to say tht this welcome to the neighborhood has been anything but. I am a very easy person to get a long with. I don't go out of my way to be negative and I mind my own business. Wish others could do the same. The place also has Roaches! The staff is un friendly and quick to judge. I have never been treated so badly for being young and pretty. So many bitter people in the world tht have to make other people as misirable as they Are. I can't wait for the day when something is done about all these negative mean rude people have to answer to there evil ways."

Do you ever have strange coincidences between things you see and hear that are totally unrelated?
I had two occur today while driving. The first one, I saw a truck drive by me at an intersection, and the driver had a huge mustache that looked fake. I said in my head "Is that a fake mustache?" and one second later, the words "fake mustache" were said on the podcast I was listening to (Go Bayside, Saved By The Bell Podcast). I immediately thought that was weird.
Then, not even ten minutes later, still driving, the same podcast used the word "purple" to describe the color of someone's suit, and literally the exact second it said "purple" I look up to see a girl with bright purple hair crossing the street in front of me.
I totally love stuff like this, it's always so unexplainable but really boils down to simple coincidence. Anyone else have these types of things happen?

This happened to me the other night.I took a girl to this Japanese event where they light those cool looking lamps..and they either send them down a river, or they let them fly up into the air. We didn't know which way they would do it..
We waited and waited and we decided to go see some other stuff instead..(too many people blocking the view to see good) And we were making fun of the point that we didn't even see what we came to see..
Got home later and on the TV is The Hangover Part 2 and it was the scene where they light all of those Japanese lamps into the air at the wedding...
So we actually did get to see it, but it was on tv..so weird.

lol my synchronicity episode:
My kid and I came up with a superhero, he told me her powers and then I sketched it out, then he came up with the name "Drizzle" which i thought was cool.
Later that night i'm watching an episode of community, the guy is thinking of a name for his daughter or something, then I look at the drawing I did earlier and think what a cool name my kid came up with, then at that very second, the guy opens a piece of paper and written on it is the word "Drizzle"
blew my mind.

I feel an ingenious way to expand the economy would be to keep as many businesses and government agencies working 24 hours as possible and to create a "nighttime business culture".
This could be stupid but I feel there would be twice as many jobs available for people.
