About a year ago Apple added the ability to drag a folder to the favourites side bar while you were in a saving a document dialogue box. They stopped it a few months ago and I bloody miss that little feature.

Listen, folks, nobody has better boogers than me, okay? Everybody’s talking about it. I have the biggest, most tremendous boogers, maybe in history. Some people have small, weak boogers—very sad! But mine? Strong, powerful, yuuge. People come up to me and say, ‘Sir, how do you get such incredible boogers?’ And I tell them, it’s natural talent. Some say it’s genetic, maybe even a gift from God. Frankly, my nose is winning, it’s absolutely winning. The haters and losers will say otherwise, but they’re just jealous. Sad!

Some were simply fill in your details and send cv, whilst others asked for a cover letter or answers to questions bespoke to the companies or products and about your skillsets etc.That kind of volume of applications wouldn't be possible without ChatGPT. Literally helping you craft your answers in 10 minutes instead of an hour. Godsend!

My office hired a new marketing person.
She's like 300 pounds and very loud and very confident.

There's a dating apps phenomena I've fairly recently heard about.
When inputting stats men often claim to be significantly taller than they truly are. This is frustrating for women who go to the effort of turning up for a date with a claimed 5'11"er only to be met by a five-fiver.
Since learning of this I've heard it a lot. It definitely seems to be a thing. Women are tired of this most ridiculous, utterly futile attempt to hoodwink.
We were discussing height at work a while back. My best friend Bella made a comment that she was taller than me, indirectly as a sideline in an anecdote.
Confused, I pointed out that we were the same height. This, I learned, was not possible. Bella was significantly taller than me, as was evidenced by the fact that when we talked, she looked down on me.
I asserted that we were the same height. "Duuude" she said, "why are men so weird about this. They can't deal with taller women".
Politely, I disagreed with the part about her being significantly taller.
She said "I'm, like, 5'11" and you're maybe 5'7. I'm a clear 4" taller".
So we got optically measured. Shoes off, independent assessor. No cheating. Marks on the wall:
Same height.
"So, Bella, if you're 5'11" then I'm 5'11" too"
"No way, you're much smaller".
Grudgingly though, she eventually agreed with the indisputable evidence.
Then we went to lunch with Megan, and we discussed height again.
"You're not 5'11" " Megan told me, "That's almost 6ft. You're about 5'7"."
But she did agree I was the same height as Bella, much to Bella's chagrin. Yet Bella was definitely 5'11".
Then later still, I was asked by a very vague acquaintance how tall I was, because she'd heard I had claimed to be 5'11" and looking at me, she felt very strongly I was nowhere near that. That lead to a bit of a dressing down and a lecture on the pointlessness of me lying about it, because I would always be found out. I was lectured quite extensively on the self-inflicted damage this common male lie causes, and told I would never find love until I was honest with myself and others.
Somewhat bruised and weary, I slunk home, not at all sure how tall I was. I called Bella once more who now informed me very confidently that she was currently 5'7", the same as me.
I felt ashamed that I had done the exact same thing as many other men. I had primped and pumped my altitudinal status despite falling obviously short. I was not 5'11", I was 5'7" and a liar.
But I still didn't know. So I went and found out, properly, what my actual height is.
It transpires I'm only 5'10-and-a -half-inches. An obvious and awful half an inch shorter than I have claimed.
Any women looking for a 5'11" man may need to adjust their height expectations down to somewhere around the 5'11" mark. Either that or seek men that are 6'4" instead.
Bella and I remain best friends. She still looks down on me. She is currently 5'10-and-a-half.

Woke up this morning... standard routine of bathroom, breakfast, tea and then sat my ass down to work @ 8:30am like any normal day...
I remember opening my email and starting to read... but then the next thing I remember is stumbling around the apartment w/the worst headache and feeling like I was going to vomit (my site was all screwed up). My wife said she heard a large crash then some sounds of me moaning.
She found me in my office immensely disoriented (really fucked up mentally... I was making zero sense). I guess I was really sweaty and just moaning nonstop.
Anyway... it's been about 5 hours since the incident... it turns out I passed out and fell out of my aeron chair (it was tipped over - those are heavy chairs)... my glasses are all fucked up, my laptop was on the ground etc.
It took about 15 minutes to start to show itself but I guess I passed out, fell out of my chair and bashed the SHIT out of my head. My wife was so scared she called an ambulance (It took at least 15-20 mins for me to start making any sense).
Anyway... been at the hospital 4 hours. Had a ct scan, x-rays and tons of blood draws... I was just informed by my first doctor that I may have had my second heart attack based on some heart enzymes showing themselves...

Converting my desk to an adjustable standing desk tonight. Bought an adjustable frame on Amazon. I've been getting tired of hunching over my midi controller that slides out from under the desk top, and hunching forward to see things better on my screens. It's also gotten annoying that I record guitar sitting down all the time. Hoping it all comes together, and expecting to spend absurd amounts of time rewiring things, mounting power strips and my UPS to the cabinets, etc.

Getting a shot of a projector at the weekend as my daughter is having a movie birthday.
Looked out a Samsung surround sound & dvdplayer setup I had about 15 years ago from the garage.
Hooked it up and it still works. Sound is decent but nothing not the high quality of speaker systems today and the fan inside the box makes a hell of a noise. Probably everything was noisey back then.
Slapped in a DonnieDarko DVD. Man DVD quality looks super-shite on a 55" tv.
We are so spoiled these days with 4k streaming services.
Got boxes of DVDs that I think the kids are going to enjoy going through. Their little minds are blown that a movie is on a round mirrored disc.
