definetly go with the amd setup, intels act wierd. i have a duallie amd system, works great, but my friend overclocked P4 can just barely keep up with me in render time. (after effects, 3ds max, etc. )

god my head is splitting.
I just read that the Pentium 4 outperformes the AMD cpus when it comes to things like
Photoshop and 3dsmax.
I also just read that the ASUS P4 Mainboards are Prescott (P5) compatible.... which is also a nice thing.
isn't it a bit unfair to compare a dual amd setup to a single p4 setup ?

i'll advise you to go with an amd
and don't trus benchmarks, just get the maximum your money allow you to get

get a p4 (2.8 is a good value right now.) with 800mhz FSB and hyperthreading. that thing smokes. (need a mboard that supports it.) put a gig or 3 in ram and never look back.
