Hi!
How would you do a lineanimation which follows a path in i.e http://www.renascent.nl/m18.htm
I'm sitting with 3Ds Max and can't get it right. Anyone?

I don't know much, but if you want to do it like in the example you gave, then you make one spline as the path spline. All curvy and stuff or how else you would like it. Then you make a shape spline, which in that example was just like 2.pointed spline. The shape spline gives your path spline width.
Now when you've done that, you select path spline and under create, select compound objects, and under there take loft. Now press pick shape object button and select your shape. Max automatically lofts your shape on yout path spline. To animate it, you have to play around with sub-objects, where you can set percent of path that is lofted (start and end % or something like that)
