Heading west, split between friends/family in both cities.

    your experiences?

is my gut feeling that San Diego is a little more geared towards young Professionial Couples correct? is it easy to have a good time there?

(i was absolutely bored in pacific beach and headed back to LA upon my last visit)

im from notfar frm san deigo.. and i can tell you there really isnt much there. if you like the "slower" lifestyle.. then san deigo is for you. I would think it would be a good place to buy a house and start a family if youre all domestic like that. Right now im living in LA because there's just more work here I'm finding and for my fiance too. But, as soon as things change for the both of us, we'll probably move down south again and start making babies.

    I live in PB too..
I think its great, of course you cant really go out in PB since its very JOX type bars, and I find those guys very annoying...

And LA? why would anybody like that place???

also, it really depends on what you consider fun, if you get bored easily and if you have friends in san deigo. that makes a big difference i think.

I just moved to america around a year ago, I have been to LA before that, several times, and by then I thought it was very cool, but now that I live in SD, I love it, and rather not even go to LA, unless of course Im working, there is a lot of "masked individuals" up there, if you know what Im saying, but of course, I do socialize pretty fast, so I know a lot of people here..

San Diego is a tourist town. Peopl mainly Go to school, bar tend, wait tables, or work for a tech company. The rest enjoy having no schedule because either they are rich or the latter would be hopped up on tweak. Downtown San Diego is a great downtown for food and drinks. The clubs are cool since you get bands playing in smaller places with smaller crowds. LA is just too packed when it comes to a good act.

I ditched SD just because it was too overcrowded at the time in the design work force w/o a large amount of design firms. Maybe its changed. But if youre going there for a job its a tough one to find another (harder than any other city) as there isnt a lot of demand for LA or NY type design.
