Getting bloody fed up trying to choose a PC laptop - too many choices - too much bullshit.
So I am looking at an iBook - 12" or 14".
Thing is I have a PC tower at home - will my iBook be compatible with the bluetooth printer I'll be getting - and will I be able to link it up to my PC's wireless LAN, aaaannnddd...do I need to get something separate to connect to wireless hotspots in town - like in Starbucks and ting.
I know fuck all about mac's so would appreciate people's input. I just need to laptop to work on word docs on the couch - show work to clients etc...nothing design heavy - that's why I have my PC...

spend the extra and get a 15" Powerbook... you will need extra power.
Check Apple's Deal Section in their Store.. they have referbs there from time to time. I have a 17 in powerbook referb now... great machine

Bluetooth
'Apple is set to introduce native Bluetooth support in its newest operating system, Mac OS X 10.2' - done...
' Apple is conducting interoperability testing with device vendors and will certify a list of products that work with its operating system'

I haven't read up much on the iBooks but I'm sure they are capable of everything you need.
Here's an interesting link rasp gave me regarding the wireless question (you could do this visa versa): http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/…
Bluetooth support is built into the OS - but you'll need a little USB device to use it.

if your iBook has an AirPort card in it you will be okay to connect to wireless hotspots...
