What do you think?
How does it work? Some site features include:
The site makes use of a RSS feed for the content, which makes the content readily updateable.
The site detects your screen res and adjusts the content accordingly. Thanks in advance

first of all very nice photography. About the size. what you mention about RSS is XML I presume. If so good work at backend. Also I like the resize thingy, it is becoming the new black of the flash pages, should lookforward for a wiser solutions. I also like the inertia effects between the photo transitions, one thing, should be the tint red is necessary, maybe some burn out effects suit better.
And one bug, after you have loaded you images, there is one frame / moment, you show us the image and then the tint comes. maybe setting the _visibility to false, or a better workaround will do.
other than that. good work. well done and keep it up bro.

one more thing, if I were you I'd get a bigger image of the background and wouldn't resize it.
it looks bad.

Thanks very much, as for the background I was concerned over file size but another 20k probably will not make such a big deal? Yes it's a RSS feed, its phase one. I can read stuff easy but now I need to make my own posting system. I was originally got to use Nucleus but now I want to build my own in flash. The site took about 3 weeks to build.
Great points and thanks for the input.

The photos themselves look great but the rest of the graphics look really stretched and over-compressed (especially the rollovers on the start page).
When I click a thumbnail all the thumbs shift about 10px left, seems odd and a bit pointless.
There seem to be a few bugs with images not loading, sometimes clicking a thumb would do nothing, other times it would load, sometimes it would stick on the red image.
A mute button would be nice.
Category is spelt wrong (catagory).
Nice site though, sort out the little problems and you have a winner on your hands.

cool site on a PC. doesn't seem to be workin on my mac.
- propa0
dstlb? What is your configuration? Mac PC.
I did make a concerted effort to compress where I can but perhaps it was too much. I did want the focus to be on the photos so I made sure those had minimal compression. Does it really look that compressed?
Where did you have a image not load, that is a big problem! OUCH.
(Category) is Canuck spelling. :) kinda like Colour.

What is happening on your Mac?
Missing images, not loading?
- bug0
your preloader says 'NAN' -not a number...and nothing works.
mac, os9.2
(same as rson)
- propa0
Does the same thing happen when you go to my site?
Thank you very much guy or gals.
- dstlb0
Yep, sometimes they just say NaN% and nothing loads, or the preloader doesn't work and it just suddenly jumps to the image after a while.
Maybe not loading a 5.6mb mp3 in the background would help? Nice tracks though, I shall be stealing them :)
Also if an image has been viewed and you click it's thumb to see it again it flashes up full colour and then goes through the red fade process.

Cool this is helping!
I think i might be on something here.
Are there any special onData issues faced on the Mac?
- propa0
Don't steal the tracks (i know you were joking), actually http://www.iso50.com/ did them, now that is talent!
Music and design like that wow.
- propa0
MAC uses everywhere!
Actually anyone having issues using this site. http://www.brentandrewmarshall.c…
Please let me know if it is working better now?
- jevad0
really, really nice - but there's no need for the fullscreen - it's making it run slower....
- propa0
Thanks.
How slow is it running? I'm sure you have a kick butt system? Should I be worried?
Run like butter on my 1900 XP PC
- paulrand0
it's a bit slow on 1600 x 1200 mac G4 dual 800 mozilla
very impressive, though
- propa0
That is a nice system paulrand, it seems to run alot different on a Mac.
What do you do at Fluxism, I love there work! very very well thought out.
Any jobs there for a Canadian?
