looking to upgrade, i was after some feedback of what to go with and why.
i heard that PRO has more video capability, which i probably won't use, are there any other major differences?

looks like pro then, interesting what they chose to leave out.why bother?

I find the release of two different versions, professional / non professional, a very bad move.

the biggest differences between pro and regular (unpro) are the ability to develop "sites" (which i don't use at all but larger firms might have some application for) and the ability to edit external as files within flash. at least from what I can tell.
There's a review on ultrashock.com somewhere, but I fail to remember where. Click around there awhile. :)
BTW, one MAJOR MAJOR bug: Flash MX 2004 only allows you to save down to Flash MX if you hit "Save As..." every single time. So if you're working in ActionScript 1, don't code AS in external files and have no need for AS2, there are very few upgrades that are going to justify the $.
Its a little prettier. A little. But if Flash MX can handle the work you're doing, I highly recommend you don't upgrade for another 6 months.

that bug sounds nasty.

Just annoying really. I do most of my work in MX and often bring it to people in the office using MX 2004...its a big workflow issue when they keep forgetting to save it as MX.
...and its not their faults. Macromedia really should have built in a way for the file to remember.
