try and trace the variables tha you have called in the 'success' part of the method.
It may be the text file is written incorrectly or something.

Cheers, Ill try it out and see if it works. Something always goes wrong on these easy jobs.

Ok when I trace the variables I get this message: var3=80&var2=30&var1=10&onLoad...
This is what i typed in the txt file:
var1=10&var2=30&var3=80Is this correct?

try:
myVars.onLoad = function(sucess){
if(sucess){
bar1._height = Number(this.var1);
bar2._height = Number(this.var2);
bar3._height = Number(this.var3);
...
}else{
trace("error"!)
}
}

you can tie this in with ASP etc.

Within the onLoad function, remember that 'this' changes scope from the _root (where the script lies) to the myVars object.
I'm guessing then that the target paths aren't working. You can always use a trace to figure this out:
if(sucess){
trace(bar01);
...Worth a try.

I will try all the above suggestions. Im crossing my fingers, toes and anything else that this works. My noggin is wrecked with this. Damn my feeble brain!

It works! Yes indeedy, unfittoprint, your code worked, it needed the (this) part of it. What exactly does this do that the other code doesn't?
Cheers to everyone for their help, now I can show my boss it can be done!
