INDESIGN 2 QUESTION

Whenever I try to rotate anything in indesign using the transform menu or 'rotate' under object it won't rotate it saying "This will cause objects to be positioned off the pasteboard" no matter what size they are. Any way to get around this?
Also, the bottom of the pages tab and scroll bar dissapeared (with the trash can, etc) so i can't navigate through my document layout.
ANY HELP? I'm going crazy.

Make sure your images are not grouped with an object - it may be trying to rotate the whole group?
Also try resizing the image to 10% or something, then rotate, then resize back 1000%

in the transform window you will see a square made up of 9 squares.
click the middle one - then carry on what you were trying to do.

if it's neither of those two suggestions, a good clean install may do yer better.
if ya like, send the file and i can see if it does the same for me...
