i want to call the value of an XML node in flash.
all of the example that i have make the XML file into an array.
the XML file has $450.00
where "12345" is the model number for that item.
obviously, each one wil be unique.
i want to access the price info by item number in flash.
so that if i say, use the value of 12345, the price is displayed.
how do i call such a variable in actionscript?

You'll need some OOP scripting. Do a search on google for XML.toObject Class
